Yellow Jersey: awarded to the cyclist with the lowest amount of time overall.

Green jersey: points leader. points are gathered by stage wins, 2nd 3rd place and so on. also at different sprint places throughout the stage. points are only awards for 1st 2nd and 3rd at these places.

King of the Mountains jersey: awarded to the points leader of the mountains. similar to the green jersey only the points are awarded at mountain tops, depending on the difficulty of the climb.

White jersey: given to the rider who has the lowest total time who is under the age of 25 on 1 January that year
